The role SoftwareOne’s Pre-Sales Enterprise Architect is a sales role responsible for working with the sales team to identify and understand the customer’s business and technical requirements. They use their knowledge of the company’s products, services, and solutions to develop and propose solutions that meet the customer’s needs. They also work with the sales team to develop and deliver presentations and demonstrations to customers, and provide technical expertise during the sales process. They collaborate with other teams within the company, such as solution specialists, product teams, and delivery team members, to ensure that the proposed solutions are feasible and can be delivered within the required timeframe. They also provide feedback to the product/solution specialists on customer needs and market trends to help drive the development of new products and services. To be an Enterprise Architect for SoftwareOne, one should have a strong understanding of cloud computing, experience with the Azure/AWS platforms, and knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and best practices. A SoftwareOne Enterprise Architect will work across our top 20 accounts, and you will act as the right hand of our Enterprise Account Executives to drive trusted advisory for the CTO/CIO in terms of cloud and Microsoft 365 expertise and how to take IT to the next level and accelerate digital transformation across nominated accounts. Base salary: AUD148,000/yr - AUD185,000/yr (NOTE: Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.) What we need to see from you Full-Time Work Rights in Australia Ability to work in Perth (hybrid workstyle: twice-a-week work at office) Relevant work experience in Australia (AWS/Azure/M365 desirable) The technical qualifications for an Enterprise Architect are to include: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Several years of experience in IT, with a focus on architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-level systems and solutions. Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman. Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to align technology solutions with business goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Certifications in AWS, Microsoft 365, and Azure. Additional desirable solutions are TOGAF 9 Certification. The consulting qualifications for an Enterprise Architect are to include: Ability to drive discovery workshops mapping current state and working consultatively for the best solution in context to the organization’s technology investments, processes, and desired future state of the business versus using the latest technology blindly or using off the shelf reference architecture. Creation of consulting approach, structure, and frameworks with the ability to create this on the spot with minimal thinking. Strong understanding of business drivers and how the impact of a service engagement drives the business. C-level non-tech jargon communication. Ability to describe risks in ‘layman’s terms’ ability to communicate using analogies and metaphors. Strategic thinking, understanding the impact of the immediate discussions and ability to understand the strategic nature of the engagement to the business and to SoftwareOne.
