MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
This position leads the inventory management, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting and customer service activities to limit costs and improve efficiency and operation process. It also drives the monthly Sales & Operations (S&OP) Planning Process for assigned product lines, including development & implementation of strategies to support product launch planning, inventory & obsolescence management, product rationalization and monitoring of key demand planning performance indicators.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Demand Planning & Forecasting
Lead monthly S&OP review meetings and challenge the assumptions and numbers provided in the analysis to solicit functional knowledge to improve forecast accuracy.
Submit periodic Net Requirement Forecast through SAP, based on cross-functional discussions, analyses on sales forecast, new product launches, phase-In/out schedule, etc.
Work closely with sales and marketing teams, regulatory, global planning, finance, and local supply chain team striving to provide and accurate demand signal.
Supply Planning
Generate POs and manage it by system. Minimize manual process
Handle Sales Order and shipments, liaising closely with Distributor, regulatory, both regional and global planning to secure the allocation.
Follow up and expedite shipment with manufacturing centers.
Inventory Planning and Control
Monitor excess or aged stocks by connecting sales & marketing on clearance plan and RCA as well as warehouse on execution to minimize the write off
Ensure all SOPs are in place and comply with procedure detailed
Monitor DOH and drive DOH reduction
Monitor backorder and Line Fill Rate
Manage stakeholders when there is a crisis on supply and give solution to minimize exposure risk
Distributor Management
- To support in the performance management of Abbott’s distributor with scheduled and timely monitoring
Reporting
Ensure all reports (regional monthly Demand Forecast File, DOH inventory report, Inventory Aging report, Monthly KPI report and out-of-stock report) are submitted on time
Maintain forecasts and planning factors in demand planning system
Continuous Improvement
Execute continuous improvement of forecasting process while maintaining costs and scrap rate at appropriate level
Drive inventory optimization, freight and DOH for cost saving
OTHER FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Required to pass the trade compliance and be Abbott certified classifier
Execute the job responsibilities according to applicable standard operating procedures of Abbott
Prepare for Audits, Compliances, etc., Documentations
Ensure applicable SOP of Abbott executed.
Backup Customer Service/ Freight & Distribution functions and when required.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIEN
Bachelor’s Degree or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is an added advantage
At least 10 years of working experience in similar roles
Strong analytical capability and planning skill
Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written & presentation skill) in English
Excellent interpersonal skills to handle issues impacting the balance of supply and demand
Able to work independently and as part of team
Able to organize and prioritize work
Demonstrates computer literacy with high numerical accuracy in supply chain management
