Job Title: HVAC Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on HVAC systems, including chillers, cooling towers, and air handlers. The role involves working closely with site teams to ensure HVAC systems are fully functional and operating at optimal efficiency. Additionally, the technician will conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial generators, perform maintenance on electrical switchgear, and assist in commissioning and testing electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on HVAC systems, including chillers, cooling towers, and air handlers.

  • Work closely with site teams to ensure HVAC systems are fully functional and operating at optimal efficiency.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial generators, including inspections, testing, and troubleshooting.

  • Assist in the commissioning and start-up of generator systems, perform load testing, fuel checks, and system verification.

  • Perform maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of electrical switchgear, PDC, UPS, and other related systems.

  • Assist in commissioning, calibrating, and testing electrical systems and equipment to ensure operational performance.

  • Ensure a seamless handover of responsibilities as projects transition from commissioning to the maintenance phase, including the implementation of preventive maintenance schedules and issue resolution.

  • Coordinate activities with other members of the maintenance crew and site teams to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and in accordance with project requirements.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC maintenance with strong knowledge in industrial HVAC systems.

  • 3+ years of experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial generators.

  • 3+ years of experience with electrical switchgear systems, including PDC, UPS, and other critical infrastructure systems.

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in HVAC, generator systems, and electrical switchgear.

  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints for system maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications in HVAC (e.g., EPA 608), electrical (e.g., Journeyman Electrician), and/or generator systems are preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Pflugerville, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
