Neshoba General Hospital is currently seeking a dedicated Dietary Worker 2 to join our food services team. The Dietary Worker 2 will play a crucial role in assisting with food preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED and demonstrate proficiency in kitchen operations, portion control, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and menus.
- Operate kitchen equipment and utensils safely and effectively, following proper procedures and protocols.
- Ensure correct portion sizes for serving food and adhere to established menus and recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, dining areas, and food storage areas.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, stretch, bend, and lift objects weighing greater than 20 pounds when required.
- Demonstrate good communication skills, both written and oral, when interacting with coworkers and supervisors.
- Ability to read and write, follow written and oral instructions, and accurately complete assigned tasks.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the dietary department.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, maintaining a positive and welcoming environment.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
