University of Pennsylvania Assistant Professor of Radiology - Nuclear Medicine Imaging and Therapy - Academic Clinician Junior Ranks in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be board eligible or have specialty certification in nuclear medicine, either current American Board of Nuclear Medicine certification or a CAQ in nuclear radiology from the American Board of Radiology, and have completed a nuclear medicine or nuclear radiology ACGME-approved training program.

Teaching responsibilities may include providing daily clinical nuclear medicine services, as well as supervising and teaching residents and fellows during procedures and conferences, and participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical sub-specialties. Candidates will be expected to lecture at assigned resident didactic conferences and nuclear radiology fellow lecture series. Attendance and teaching at case conferences as well as participation in journal club meetings is required. Teaching of medical students will be limited to those rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital.

Clinical responsibilities may include performing and interpreting nuclear medicine stress tests, EKGs, evaluating and treating patients with therapeutic radio-pharmaceuticals and general nuclear medicine studies. Candidates must have extensive PET/CT experience.

Penn Radiology provides clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, and the Philadelphia Veteran Affairs Medical Center as well as affiliated outpatient imaging centers located in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
