We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management techniques to support individuals in achieving their goals
- Monitor and record vital signs and overall health status
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals under your care
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to ensure holistic care
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for individuals with developmental disabilities
Experience:
- Prior experience in senior care, home care, or nursing home settings is preferred
- Knowledge of long-term care practices and patient care techniques
- Ability to administer medications following prescribed protocols
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Background in social work or related fields is a plus
