Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (Philadelphia, PA):
Perform laboratory and diagnostic tests and procedures for the Blood Bank and Transfusion Medicine Division, such as aliquots of PRBCs, platelets, plasma, and cryos, and high complexity testing such as antibody identification, antigen typing and direct antiglobulin tests. Report results through appropriate channels. Complete, evaluate, and record all appropriate quality controls and quality assurance markers, and activate troubleshooting procedures when necessary. Perform preventative and safety maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot equipment failures. Control and maintain lab inventory. Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or other science related field and 1 year of related experience performing laboratory and diagnostic tests and procedures such as aliquots of PRBCs, platelets, plasma, and cryos, and high complexity testing such as antibody identification, antigen typing, and direct antiglobulin tests.
