Segra is searching for three dynamic and experienced Network Provisioning Engineer II (aka - Data Provisioning Engineer II) candidatesto work in a remote capacity. Internally, this role is titled "Data Provisioning Engineer II" on our careers page. However, this is focused on networking provisioning and not data, such as data engineering or data analysis. Role Overview: This position provides in-depth support of the SEGRA Networks, IP and Ethernet Networks. The Data Provisioning Engineer II will have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within one of the functional areas of the organization, identified in the Skill Discipline Matrix provided below. Required Qualifications: Must have prior experience with E-Line and ELAN doing provisioning, testing, and troubleshooting. Minimum of 4 years of experience in either networking engineering or provisioning experience related to E-Line and ELAN. Thorough understanding of CLI for the various technologies (Ciena, Cisco, Alcatel Lucent).
Preferred Qualifications: College degree in Engineering or a related field and 3-5 years professional level experience; or 6+ years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Engineering/Technical experience. 6+ years troubleshooting higher level Network Hardware and provisioning. 6+ years in network operations environment or related job. Extensive understanding of either the Data or Transport disciplines in the Skill Matrix. Excellent verbal, written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Proficiency with various computer applications and Microsoft Office applications to include, but not limited to Word and Excel. Good analytical and problem solving skills. Must have the ability to utilize a computer keyboard and monitor for extended periods of time. Must be detail oriented with good organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask effectively. Must have effective interpersonal skills to interact successfully with customers, management, and team members to ensure customer satisfaction. Must be able to prioritize and re-prioritize as needed, in a fast-paced working environment, especially when dealing with time-sensitive issues and mandated deadlines. Must be analytical and have proven problem-solving abilities.
