POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager or NDT Level III, the NDT Level II inspector performs visual, dye-penetrant and magna particle non-destructive examinations. The NDT Level II plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and integrity of materials and fabricated components through the application of various NDT methods.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Demonstrated experience performing visual inspection and nondestructive testing of welds
- Ability to review and interpret structural steel plans, piping systems/piping and instrumentation diagrams, working drawings, and technical specifications
- Proficiency in the use of weld inspection tools including; weld gauges, NDT equipment, and micrometers.
- Ability to read plans and specifications, complete daily work reports.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to multi-task and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments without sacrificing efficiency or quality of the work;
- Expertise in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required; knowledge of Adobe Acrobat preferred. Proficient use of modern communication and computer equipment including cell phones, laptop computers and tablets
- Excellent organization and communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required.
- Primarily indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
- Frequently working near moving and/or vibrating equipment.
- Occasi nal exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.
- Occasional exposure to airborne dust, fumes and gases.
