Summary of Position (Brief description of overall responsibilities and function)
The Quality Records Specialist will have the responsibility to perform quality reviews of all technical records
pertaining to aircraft, engines, components, and all associated quality records. This function also includes
creating detailed aircraft records and logbook entries as required by FAR Part 145 and AS9100 quality
system standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Specifically describe the essential duties and responsibilities in order of estimated percentage of time that is spent on each).
- * *Research aircraft records to ensure compliance with FAA regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and maintenance status.
- Determine work scope for relevant aircraft from records research and coordinate with relevant parties in the MRO department.
- Create and prepare aircraft records packages in accordance with (IAW) all applicable FAA regulations and repair station manual processes.
- Follow procedural steps and checklists to ensure aircraft/engine logbooks are correct and complete for delivery to customer as per schedule and planning.
- Provide a daily update of aircraft status and configuration .
- Update and maintain aircraft maintenance tracking systems i.e. spreadsheets, CAMP software.
- Assists the Supervisor of Quality Control with various projects as needed.
Qualifications for Position:
Education
High school diploma. Associate Degree is preferred.
* Experience*
An Individual with a background in aviation; rotary wing or fixed wing services is strongly desired.
