As the Senior Director of Sales for Real World Data, you will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy, driving revenue growth, and expanding our client base. You will lead a team of sales professionals and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver our RWD solutions to clients in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and related industries; driving growth through strategic partnerships and client relationships

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Minimum 10 years of successful sales leadership, with experience managing sales teams promoting Real World Data solutions to the life sciences and adjacent healthcare verticals. An extensive network of contacts in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and related industries who buy and use RWD in their job functions. Exceptional leadership and team management skills. Experience in RWD commercial partnerships is preferred, with proven experience navigating internal channel conflicts to successful resolutions. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Experience with CRM software and sales tools. Strategic thinking and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing market landscape.

MBA or equivalent is a plus. Deep industry knowledge of the RWD landscape - types of RWD, use cases, applications, and the competitive landscape. Experience in RWD commercial partnerships is preferred, with proven experience navigating internal channel conflicts to successful resolutions.

What will you be doing in this role?

Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets in the RWD sector. Create annual sales plans, forecasts, and budgets, and track performance against goals.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. Develop and implement training programs to ensure the sales team is well-equipped to represent our RWD products effectively.

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Identify and target key clients in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and other relevant industries who can benefit from our RWD solutions. Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and understanding their unique needs.

Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and market dynamics related to Real World Data. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats, adjusting the sales strategy accordingly.

Sales Operations and Processes: Establish and optimize sales processes, including lead generation, pipeline management, and deal closure. Implement a methodology for developing win-win commercial relationships with partners that utilize RWD for their product development or services delivery. Direct the pursuit team responsible for these relationships. Implement and utilize CRM tools and systems to track sales activities and monitor performance.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the product development, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts with company objectives. Provide feedback from the field to inform product enhancements and market positioning.

Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations and pricing discussions with clients, ensuring agreements are mutually beneficial and compliant with company policies.

Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and repor on sales metrics, including revenue, pipeline, and conversion rates. Use data-driven insights to make strategic decisions and adjustments to the sales approach.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed. This position can be performed full remote or near any US office.
