Ensure that all HPSI safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met
Receive, log, and track all warranty claims from the vessels under warranty
Determine next action for all warranty claims
Communicate with vendors, Purchasing Department, or outside purchasing agent to order parts and receive technical assistance. Enter purchase requisitions as required
Interface with Engineering Departments to resolve design related technical issues, including holding and leading meetings if necessary
Coordinate shipment of all part and component orders to the customer’s designated place
Coordinate scheduling of repair or service technician to attend the vessel with the Port Engineer or other owner’s representative
Working with the customer to process any re-bills or reimbursement invoices during the warranty period covered by the agreed warranties
Follow up with customer to close out warranty claims and obtain any missing documentation or paperwork
Participle in weekly warranty status meetings/conference calls
Perform periodic visits to the vessels under warranty and/or to the customer’s offices, approximately once every three months. Have face to face meetings. May include one voyage on the vessel to observe operations and diagnose issues
Occasional travel
Perform other related duties as required and assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering is preferred. Candidates with a technical diploma and 5+ years’ experience in ship design and construction may also be considered
Minimum 3 years’ experience in marine industry, or worked as a Service Engineer, technical support or similar background
Experience with piping system or machinery design and construction
Proficiency with MS Office and CAD systems such as AutoCAD
Knowledge/experience concerning modern shipbuilding practices is a plus
Experience with American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Steel Vessel Rules, IMO Regulations, and US Coast Guard Requirements is a plus
Experience with 3D modeling software, experience with Aveva Marine is a plus
International experience or familiarity with European and/or Asian Shipbuilding Standards is a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke. Work may be carried on indoors or outdoors, and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions.

This is an on-site, full-time, safety-sensitive position. Standard days and hours of work vary by department, days and hours determined by department schedules.
