metal manufacturing company in North Phoenix to find a talented
Buyer. You\'ll play a crucial role in managing the procurement
process, ensuring that materials and supplies are sourced efficiently
and cost-effectively.
Position: Buyer
Type: Full-Time; Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials, supplies, and services necessary for
manufacturing operations.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to secure the best
terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production to ensure
timely availability of materials.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality
and reliability.
- Analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and
cost-saving opportunities.
- Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues related to
quality, delivery, and cost.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to meet
project requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement in the sheet metal
manufacturing industry.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain
Management, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier
relationships effectively.
- Proficiency in Oracle, Globalshop and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a
fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
