CTG is seeking to fill an Infrastructure Specialist – System Administration opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 7 months
Duties:
Provide day-to-day operational support for applications hosted on cloud infrastructure within the Cloud Operations team
Monitor and manage containerized applications running on Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift environments
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud-based application performance
Leverage monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana to identify system health trends and anomalies
Utilize Splunk to analyze logs and investigate application and infrastructure issues
Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub, and GitHub Actions (GHA)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and security of cloud-hosted applications
Participate in on-call rotation and incident response efforts for cloud operations
Skills:
Strong expertise in Kubernetes (K8s) – must be hands-on and capable of troubleshooting real-time issues
Experience with Red Hat OpenShift for container orchestration and deployment
Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana for metrics collection and visualization
Proficient in navigating and interpreting Splunk logs for troubleshooting
Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and GitHub Actions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced cloud environment
Experience:
3+ years of experience working with Kubernetes and containerized applications
2+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift
Hands-on experience using Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk in a production environment
Previous experience supporting cloud-based applications and infrastructure
Background in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a plus
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
