Lead-General DC
The DC General Lead role will support our Distribution Center and our employees. This role will be responsible for leading the activities of the various processes throughout the DC as assigned; focus areas could change daily based on business needs. The DC General Lead will support the Warehouse Operations Manager by prioritizing work efforts to support daily shift goals; managing the placement of resources, both personnel and materials; monitoring performance and accuracy; and training new employees on best practices.

Duties & Responsibilities
Leads team of associates through example and reinforcement of policies, processes, and procedures
Ensures associates adhere to assigned schedules, including meal and rest breaks.
Provides constructive feedback and appropriate training to team members;
Managing quality, behavioral and performance opportunities and strengths of assigned associates
Understands and is engaged in processes and procedures
Looks for opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Ensures a safe and clean working environment/work area clean at end of shift
Properly assigns and reassigns work flow and task assignments of associates while on shift to ensure and maintain proper staffing and optimizable production capabilities
Troubleshoots equipment as necessary; identifying and escalating any issues or concerns to management
Ensures appropriate supplies are located in work areas
Understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Keen sense of sight with ability to distinguish color and perception of sound are required
Must be able to communicate issues verbally and display a positive and professional demeanor
Must possess basic math skills including the ability to multiply, divide, add and subtract.
Reliable attendance is required and the ability to adhere to assigned work schedule
Strong attention to details and high standard of quality
Flexible and adaptable to change
Ability to meet demands of frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, occasional sitting, stooping crouching and on feet for 6 to 12 hours
Ability to repetitively stand push, move and pull pallets or product and lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work a partially climate controlled warehouse environment, in which outside weather conditions greatly affect the building’s temperature
Good hand eye coordination with normal dexterity of hands and fingers with average repetition
Works well with others and independently and ability to work in and handle a fast-paced work environment
Willingness to manage, address and hold accountable associates for behavioral and performance-related concerns issues against policies, processes, and procedures
Experience and Credentials
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience required
Must be 18 or older
Experiencing leading a team preferred
Effective memory skills and ability to follow directions & a strong willingness to learn.
Willingness to work OT as needed especially in peak season
Available Monday thru Friday with occasional weekends as needed
Basic computer skills and knowledge
