Description Our reputable client is seeking a Payroll Manager to join the company. The Payroll Manager will help meet standards for the financial department necessary for growth and will work on tax-related tasks, such as W2 forms, preparing reports and updating policies. Responsibilities
Work with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams
Arrange payroll systems and timekeeping
Coach and supervise payroll assistants and clerks
Collaborate with auditors and manage payroll tax audits
Comply with internal policies and relevant laws
Supervise system upgrades and the processing of payroll changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, raises)
Create reports and ensure accuracy of records
Settle issues and respond to all questions related to payroll
Help create systems that process payroll account transactions, like salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments Requirements - Knowledge of multiple payroll applications
Excellent leadership and organizational skills
5+ years of payroll experience
Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Compliance knowledge
Sound understanding of current payroll procedures and related laws
2+ years of proven leadership experience as a payroll manager or similar role
Superb understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
Skilled in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
CPP, CPM, or other related professional certifications is a plus
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field
