Honeywell Systems Engineer II in Phoenix, Arizona

You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will have ownership for systems at every aspect of the systems life cycle; from the front end of business development through product end of life. You will work across disciplines to drive growth and reach critical business milestones.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of propulsion turbine engine control design features and requirements, as well as contributing to requirements based engineering activities, best practices, and processes. You will interface directly with program leads, systems engineers, safety specialists, and chief engineers. The propulsion control systems organization will rely on you to ensure the control system meets or exceeds customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

· Development of control system features, including:

o Concept generation

o Software features

o Technical documentation of design aspects

o Trade studies and optimizations

· Working with experts, technical leads, and chief engineers to develop technical solutions

· Develop disciplined requirements-based engineering processes and best practices:

o Requirements analysis

o Requirements decomposition

o Requirements validation and verification

· Effective coordination and communication with:

o Supplier engineering teams

o Systems engineering teams

o Project management organizations

o Internal and external customers

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

· 2+ years experience in aerospace systems engineering or requirements based engineering roles
