Job Title: Vice President - Projects
Job Description
The Vice President of Projects directs, manages, and executes sr-level project management services on assigned projects. Utilizing and managing a team of professionals, this role ensures superior client service on larger, more complex projects. This position is typically a Player/Coach role.
Responsibilities
Assume a lead Construction Management role in the development and execution of strategy for a team.
Demonstrate high energy for the business, ability to energize others, and willingness to take risks and make tough decisions.
Oversee project implementation and execution through completion of construction.
Manage pre-construction duties including programming, design, entitlements, bidding, permitting, consultant selection, design team selection, schedule creation, contractor selection, and vendor selection.
Negotiate contracts with each selected team member/vendor.
Extensive interface with architects, client staff, property managers, and vendors.
Maintain client relationships and manage conflict resolution.
Provide appropriate level of on-site supervision to ensure project performance criteria are met.
Manage performance of all contracted vendors, consultants, and team members, addressing potential liabilities and risks.
Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all PDS technology required for assigned projects.
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, all regulating entities, and client expectations.
Convey acceptable practices and policies to the team.
Make independent judgments related to operating procedures impacting assigned projects.
Utilize cross-discipline teams to meet client needs and contribute to the refinement of best practices and standards of excellence.
Ensure Manager and/or Regional Manager is fully informed of all project, internal, and client issues affecting the firm's reputation.
Serve as the lead relationship manager for a single strategic alliance client.
Potentially develop and manage a team of people.
Recommend and/or take actions regarding team talent in coordination with Human Resources.

Strong working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, and scheduling
Experience working with landlords, developers, and institutional owners
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (Preference towards a Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management)
Large-scale Federal Government experience preferred
Large-scale interior renovation experience
Core & shell construction management experience
5-10 years as a Sr Project Manager or similar role
Ability to manage several medium and large ground-up development projects, major re-development projects, and corporate interiors projects
Work Environment
In office with flexibility to travel to sites as needed. Presence and availability for client or internal meetings are required. Travel expectations are as needed to pitch projects and meet with clients, with the majority of required travel being local without the need for overnight stays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $175000.00 - $250000.00/yr.
