Responsibilities
Overall Plant Management: Assume responsibility for the overall operation of the manufacturing plant, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, safety, and personnel management.
Leadership and Supervision: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of department supervisors, technicians, and production workers. Provide guidance, support, and direction to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of resources to meet customer demand while maintaining efficient workflow and minimizing downtime.
Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains throughout the manufacturing process. Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to streamline operations and reduce waste.
Quality Control and Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards. Implement quality assurance processes and conduct regular inspections to monitor product quality and identify areas for improvement.
Maintenance Management: Oversee plant maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment upgrades. Coordinate with maintenance staff to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
Must know how to read blueprints and know how to use calipers. Experience tooling background and press room experience required.
