Administrative Assistant

The School of Public Health interdepartmental Centers (Center for Health Equity, Center for Global Health, Center for Public Health Practice and Center for LGBT Health Research) are seeking administrative support. Individual will work directly with center directors and staff, school leadership, students, and external community partners.

Candidate will provide team-based, seamless contributions to all administrative aspects in the centers. Incumbent must be proactive and independent in identifying issues in advance and working on solutions. Must be professional and complete work accurately and on time. Excellent customer service skills, in person, through email, and on the phone are of the utmost importance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required as well as a keen attention to detail.

Job Summary Supports senior level roles in a wide variety of complex administrative and office functions as well as specialized technical support for academic or administrative departments.

Essential Functions Must be able to effectively communicate in person and via electronic mediums. Must also attend meetings and be able to utilize phones, computers, scanners, and other office equipment. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Excellent writing skills are essential. Effective organizational skills are also essential.

Physical Effort Generally sedentary. Must be able to travel to meetings across campus and within the building complex. Ability to move paper files and boxes up to 20 lbs. on occasion.
