 The Healthy Parenting Educator will administer an evidence-based parent training program, Triple P (Positive Parenting Program), for A Child's Place PA. The Parenting Educator will be responsible for coordinating individual and group training sessions, promoting the program and recruiting parent/guardian participants. The Parenting Educator will have an understanding of family systems, basic discipline techniques, and community resources; possess an ability to reach out to participants and create a relationship of mutual trust; and have strong social skills and a compassionate personality. The ideal candidate will be confident making organizational relationships with community leaders, in order to ensure integration into the community and promoting active recruitment efforts by partnering with other organizations. At times, this position requires the flexibility of meeting with clients, parents, and community partners during evenings and weekends.

SOME REMOTE WORK

Duties:

• Attend Triple P training and certification sessions
• Schedule and lead weekly individual family and group sessions
• Maintain participant records and reports for funding sources
• Complete pre/post family assessments
• Identify family needs and provide community resources to participants
• Collaborate with other staff, parents, and community stakeholders to promote the program
• Observe and understand parent behavior and report suspicions of neglect, abuse, etc.
• Ensure fidelity to the Triple P curriculum though supervision and peer review with other staff members

• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
