The Department of Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh is hiring a Postdoctoral Associate in the laboratory of Dr. Marlies Meisel. This position's research will focus on a project entitled: Precision nutritional approaches to enhance microbiota function for antitumor immunity. In this project, the Candidate will interrogate novel nutritional therapeutic approaches to modulate the gut microbiota and thereby improve cancer immunotherapy in preclinical models. Using multiple comics approaches (metagenomics, metabolomics), the Candidate will assess the impact of nutrition on the gut microbiome. In gnotobiotic approaches, the Candidate will test the causality of the microbiota changes in modulating cancer etiopathogenesis. Finally, the Candidate will also be expected to perform any other assignments that I, as the principal investigator, may request.
Qualifications: The candidate must have earned a PhD in Biology or a related field.
