Position Summary:
Responsible for overall project design and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The construction project manager responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of project management.
General Duties:
Project organization and administration; responsible for all engineering, accounting, cost control, quality assurance, and project closeout on assigned projects.
To know the plans, specifications, estimate, cost reports and the contract for all assigned projects.
Determine the overall construction schedule and preparation of the detailed CPM schedule.
Supervise all subcontract work: procurement, coordination, performance, and final payments.
Establish and maintain satisfactory relations with the Owner and Architect: obtain approvals, change orders, extra work orders, requisitions and acceptance of work.
Review and approve all requisitions, purchase orders, and cost codes to exercise control over all expenditures.
Review subcontractor’s field supervisory personnel and forces for adequacy to meet schedule requirements and ensure subcontractor compliance.
Hold weekly meetings with subcontractors, Owner and Architect on all assigned jobs.
Attend stakeholder appropriate meetings, i.e. project meetings, owner’s meetings, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
B.A. / B.S. Civil Engineer or related degree with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in construction industry. *Valid Driver’s License required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Construction experience in healthcare is preferred.
