An excellent career opportunity is currently available for a Senior Business Intelligence and Visualization Developer reporting to Aires Pittsburgh, PA office.
The Senior Business Intelligence and Visualization Developer is responsible for developing complex reporting, identifying and organizing data sets, and creating compelling visuals to drive key business decisions for the organization and our clients. This role troubleshoots existing reporting solutions, maintains database user security and integrity, and analyzes and translates requirements into reports and dashboards. This position should have a deep understanding of Business Intelligence products and processes. Prior experience is necessary with relational databases, SQL programming and SQL queries.
The ideal candidate will be well-organized, proactive, and process-oriented, with a keen attention to detail and an exceptional ability to multitask and prioritize work. They will have good written and verbal communication skills, and impressive customer service skills. They will understand and address business problems, identify opportunities for improvement, and help achieve business goals and support the strategic direction of the company.
Position Responsibilities:
Designs, develops, and implements reporting solutions.
Collaborates with key stakeholders to deliver data insights through the production of top-quality reports, dashboards, visualizations, and SQL storytelling.
Develops PL/SQL objects including stored procedures, views, materialized views and functions.
Understands and interprets data to address business problems. Transforms data sets, provides quantitative and qualitative analysis, and brings to life that analysis through compelling visuals and reporting.
Leads system testing/validation in support of system upgrades/releases.
Acts as a mentor and subject matter expert to other team members and external departments.
Develops and delivers training to cross-functional teams to support end-user reporting capabilities.
Ability to apply data engineering concepts to support ongoing AI initiatives.
Seeks opportunities to maintain and develop new expertise in relevant tools and techniques.
Ability to prioritize a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline
Minimum 5 years of experience delivering analytics and visualizations
Strengths in creative problem solving and issue resolution, ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and customer service
Strong knowledge and understanding of relational databases (Oracle preferred)
Advanced level SQL programming skills (must have)
Knowledge of BusinessObjects products (desired)
Basic knowledge of Python and willingness to learn (nice to have)
Understanding of relational data models and entity relationship diagrams
Strong interpersonal and ommunication skills with the willingness and ability to work directly with internal and external customers

Computer literacy with MS Office products, and ability to grasp proprietary software
