Senior Product Manager, Literacy

What We Seek We are looking for a strong Product Manager to envision and drive platform updates and enhancements for our K-12 literacy programs. If you are passionate about the importance of ELA education and love working on and delivering cutting-edge EdTech products, this position is for you. The Product Manager, Grade 6-12 ELA reports to the Vice President of Product Management and collaborates with the Editorial, Instructional Design, and Engineering teams to bring the research, content and user experience to life. What Your Day Will Look Like Lead the product vision process and serve as the voice of the customer to create engaging digital curriculum experiences for the K-12 ELA market, especially related to reading, writing, and speaking Identify and implement AI features to improve student learning and teacher effectiveness Assist in the development of well-groomed and prioritized feature backlogs aligned to department roadmaps and strategy Lead product ideation and discovery sessions; leverage both qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions Create and research prototypes with customers to define and refine upcoming features Execute continuous discovery techniques (interviews, journey maps, opportunity trees) throughout the product development lifecycle Oversee end-to-end feature delivery including user stories, requirements, design mockups or prototypes, test cases for UAT, and release communication to internal teams; ensure timely handoffs and clear communication between teams Analyze data on product and feature usage to identify new opportunities and monitor satisfaction and efficacy Manage product development lifecycle for several products, ensuring a balance between discovery, design, and delivery / go-to-market phases Identify and work with senior staff to remove barriers causing inefficiency or stifling innovation in product development Demonstrate strong budget adherence and influence a culture of budget adherence cross-functionally; assist creating and tracking project-level budgets. Provide cross-functional leadership with regard to operational and delivery best practices Cultivate and maintain strong market knowledge including trends, competition, and opportunities Build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and concerns addressed Regularly hold feedback and information sharing sessions with key stakeholder groups inside and outside the department and the company Deliver customer-centric product requirements to Engineering teams Create sound, strategic, data-driven business cases to support roadmap recommendations What Should Be In Your Bookbag 7+ years of digital product development experience 3+ years as a product manager in the EdTech field on grade 6-12 digital literacy products Proven experience bringing AI-powered features for K-12 students to market BA, BS in Business, Education, English, UX/CX, or Communications Strategic, data-driven critical thinker A passion for creating intuitive, user-centered developmentally appropriate experiences Disposition to relentlessly solve problems rather than be stopped by them Expert communicator with ability to write and present to executive teams A thirst for educational innovation (especially in ELA) while being up-to-date with the latest trends, policies, and best practices in ELA education and product management Desire and ability to foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, collaboration, flexibility Available to work for a US-based company with a typical work day of 9-5pm ET, Monday-Friday Ability to travel 10% of time What Gives Us Purpose Others teach what; we teach why.
