Aerotech, Inc is currently hiring a Sustaining Engineer to work in our global headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.

In this entry level position, the engineer assists in initiatives designed to improve the performance reliability, improve efficiency, and lower manufacturing costs of custom electro-mechanical systems.
Interfaces directly with members of Manufacturing and Systems Engineering teams to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
Leads small to moderate projects under supervision
Confers with senior level engineers to clarify or resolve problems
Reviews and revises technical documentation used by Manufacturing when producing precision electro-mechanical systems
Troubleshoots problems in manufacturing or repair of electro-mechanical systems
Analyzes technical documentation and results to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications
Performs all duties in compliance with the quality management system; actively contributes to the continuous improvement of the QAMS
Additional Duties
Assists with documentation of process modifications as needed
Occasional travel (primarily domestic with possibility for international), including trade shows and vendor visits
Assembly and testing of electro-mechanical products

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills providing the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts with colleagues, vendors, and customers
Ability to independently complete individual project tasks when given direction on possible solutions and assistance with complex projects
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and training materials, general business periodicals, professional journals, and regulatory requirements
Working knowledge of machine design, including solid modeling and general manufacturing processes.
Working knowledge of programming concepts
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
Zero to two years of related professional experience.
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
