Job Title: Water/Wastewater Engineer LeadJob Description
The Water/Wastewater Engineer Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, planning, and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role involves managing a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering innovative solutions for water and wastewater systems.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
Oversee the development of treatment plant designs, including preliminary and detailed planning.
Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis to optimize system performance.
Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets while ensuring quality control and assurance.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Provide technical expertise in permitting, process optimization, and system operations.
Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of safety and innovation.
Participate in business development activities, including preparing proposals and pursuing new project opportunities.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
10+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering, including leadership roles.
Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling tools.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological Engineering, or similar field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania or the ability to obtain licensure within one year.
Minimum of five years of experience in water and wastewater design or project management.
Experience with regulatory compliance within the water and wastewater industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and project management software.
Work Environment
They are an in-office work environment, but they are hybrid with 2-3 days per week that can be worked from home. The company is continuing to grow and invest, and it offers an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) that is issued once per year. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
