Job Summary: Join our team at Clarity Health as a Medical Assistant/Patient Service Coordinator at our clinic. In this role you will be responsible for greeting, instructing, directing, and scheduling patients and visitors, alongside retrieving insurance and patient information, and entering data into computer systems. Additionally, you'll perform patient care activities within the scope of data entry/processing and patient account functions, while also being trained on and executing medical assistant duties. Your responsibilities will extend to assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care, preparing patients for examination and treatment, administering injections, conducting lab testing and phlebotomy, and ensuring the maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet, instruct, direct, and schedule patients and visitors.

  • Retrieve insurance and patient information, and enter data into the computer system.

  • Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and dispatch messages appropriately.

  • Perform patient care activities, including administering injections, lab testing, and phlebotomy.

  • Collect payments, address insurance-related inquiries, and maintain a professional demeanor in patient interactions.

  • Provide medical assistant duties as required.

  • Maintain a caring, friendly, and professional approach in all communications.

  • Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care, including preparation for examination and treatment.

  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms, administer injections, and perform lab testing.

  • Manage supplies and equipment for treatments, conduct health and medical reviews, and accompany individuals to medical appointments.

  • Complete documentation in a timely manner and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or Licensed Practical Nurse in applicable state

  • CPR certification preferred

  • Phlebotomy training and previous lab experience preferred

  • One year of experience in a physician office setting preferred

Required License/Certification:

  • Valid driver’s license in state of residency with an acceptable driving record

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to greet patients and handle telephone inquiries courteously.

  • Aptitude for following written and oral instructions and organizing materials efficiently.
