About the Role:

As an Accounting Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. You will collaborate with various departments to support month-end close processes, assist with audits, and contribute to cashflow forecasting, among other responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Month-End Close: Support the month-end close process by posting payroll journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial results. Collaborate with other members in the accounting departments to resolve discrepancies and address issues.

  • Audit Support : Assist with the year-end audit by preparing various audit work papers and supporting schedules to fulfill requests from external auditors.

  • Cashflow Forecasting: Assist the Treasury department with cashflow forecasting by compiling and analyzing bank accounts globally.

  • Intercompany Reconciliations: Assist the Treasury, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable teams with the intercompany transactions that are recorded in the respective books of accounts of the companies involved and ensure that all these transactions are accurately recorded and balanced, and any discrepancies or errors are identified and corrected.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist the FP&A team in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and investigate variances.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Implement changes as necessary to enhance accuracy and productivity.

  • Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management. Contribute to cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives.

    Qualifications:

    Education:   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

    Experience:   Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis. Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.

    Certificates & Licenses: CPA or progress towards CPA certification preferred.

    Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (i.e., advanced functions, pivot tables, etc.)

  • Experience with accounting software and/or ERP systems

  • Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process

  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures

  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Familiarity with reviewing financial statements (income statement and balance sheet) for accuracy.

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, displaying an ability to gather, relate and compare data, and ensure data is reliable, accurate and complete
