As an Associate in Strategic Analytics, you'll work with the DCS risk team to generate thoughtful analytics and recommendations to the business concerning strategy development, implementation, operational controls, and performance monitoring. . As a Risk Analyst within DCS Wholesale Credit, you will assist our Head of Portfolio Analytics and Chief Risk Officer by managing and executing projects or components of projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, problem solving, communication of insights and recommendations. Projects will involve stakeholders from and have impact to functions across the line of business and is typically geared towards revenue enhancement, cost reduction, risk mitigation, process improvement or other priorities as defined by management.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain periodic analytics to provide management with full insight into emerging trends and the quality of the portfolio
Attain a detailed understanding of key performance metrics and profitability drivers, enabling the delivery of insights encompassing the full account lifecycle
Acquire an understanding of the operational processes (e.g. manual underwriting, portfolio management) which will aid in understanding DCS performance drivers
Manage work projects independently and in collaboration with partners across the line of business
Serve as the bridge to business and analytic teams to help drive a culture of data driven decision making
Perform data analytics and validation with complex datasets to derive useful insights
Develop presentation decks with an ability to present at all levels of management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Masters degree preferably in quantitative discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operation research, Computer science, Engineering, Finance)
2-3 years of credit risk management, or data analytics, or marketing analytics preferably in financial industry (or Master Degree plus 1 year)
Knowledge of data extraction and manipulation tools - SQL, or SAS, or PYTHON and Excel
Experience with Data visualization Tools (Tableau, Looker, Alteryx, Business Objects etc.) will be a plus
Ability to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable management information
Familiarity with risk analytic techniques
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong organizational, analytical, and technical skills with the ability to multi-task and drive projects to completion
Ability to communicate effectively and work with key partners and a variety of people throughout the organization
Ability to learn, be flexible and adaptable
