Program Coordinator Peri-Op Services – Marketing Strategy

Work location: Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery, 6200 W. Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093

Work hours: Full Time/Days; Monday – Friday (8A-5P); 40 hrs/week

Here’s What You Need:

· Bachelor’s degree in nursing required

· 3 years of experience in Perioperative Services required

· Spine and Orthopedic experience highly preferred

· RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required and

· ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required

· Problem Solving and Decision Making. Planning and Organizing, Resource Mobilization/Industry Standards, Clinical Expertise and Education. Regulatory knowledge, Performance Improvement, Community Outreach and Education, Previous program development, education or discharge planning experience preferred.

What You Will Do:

· Direct management of the "Program" staff and coordination of all services and inpatient and outpatient departments that interact with perioperative patients including outpatient testing/education, day of surgery, operation room, recovery room, inpatient and outpatient PT/OT services, home health, etc.

· Provides staff with ongoing performance information, uses appropriate counseling and corrective action.

· In Collaboration with Hospital Administration, develops and manages staffing and operating budgets; ensures appropriate utilization and maintenance of supplies and equipment and organizational goals.

· Enforces standards of regulatory and accreditation agencies.

· Develops, manages and implements short – and long-term goals for all areas related to perioperative services in conjunction with the Medical Director(s) of the Perioperative Service Line Co-Management Committee and the Professional Services Officer.

· In conjunction with the Medical Director(s) of the Perioperative Service Line Co-Management Committee and Hospital Administration, responsible for the development of a community outreach and programmatic development plan.
