Job Description

The Position

The Research and Development Strategy Analyst is a key contributor role supporting business strategic, transformation and advocacy initiatives across Organon Research and Development (R&D). Reporting into the Head of Strategy & Transformation (S&T), the Strategy Analyst is a self-starter with proven capabilities in analytics and research, stakeholder management and project support.

They are a team player and able to collaborate with a wide array of stakeholders across R&D. They are expected to support a variety of business-critical initiatives while working closely with the assigned leads.

The candidate will be successful if they have a proactive approach to work, a problem-solving aptitude and are able to effectively manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Head, Strategy & Transformation, the Strategy Analyst is responsible to:

  • Support projects being executed by the strategy, advocacy and transformation leads including ad-hoc research and analysis, workshop coordination, slide creation, communications, maintain project plans, risk management and action item tracking.

  • Conduct research and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.

  • Support metrics tracking and create reports, dashboards and visualizations for stakeholders.

  • Develop innovation tools that can be scaled across the organization.

  • Support the development of communications so that all Organon employees are aware of the R&D strategies and how their roles align to the strategies.

  • Stay up to date on innovation in pharma R&D.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required with three years of related experience.

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries or a Master's degree and one year experience.

  • Proactive motivated individual willing to drive results. Detail oriented, well organized, and excellent prioritization skills.

  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of pharma R&D, project management and process optimization.

  • Leadership: Experience working proactively with teams at all levels, driving consensus and results.

  • Collaboration: Ability to work with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner, including the ability to build and maintain critical networks and collaborative relationships.

  • Business Consulting: Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Oral and Written Communications: Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; skilled in developing PowerPoint presentations and dashboards

Preferred Education

  • Master's degree preferred.
