Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in Plymouth, Minnesota. This role involves managing and maintaining all aspects of the accounting and costing system, financial reporting, and management of the Shared Services Team. You will be working in the polymer engineering industry, focusing on enhancing the performance and business progress of leading industry brands.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month/quarter/year-end close processes, financial reporting, and account analysis

• Prepare and analyze monthly reports, forecasts, key performance indicators, and other required financials according to Corporate and local requirements

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations pertaining to accounting and commercial practices

• Oversee audits of bills of materials to ensure product costs are accurate and properly accounted for

• Manage the Accounting Manager of the Shared Services Team, Cost Accountant, and Financial Accountant

• Continuously drive process improvements and initiatives for the Finance department to improve effectiveness

• Support payroll and reconcile all payroll related accounts

• Oversee fixed asset reporting including IFRS leases

• Review cost and variance trends; research significant variations and recommend appropriate response

• Manage the monthly inventory valuation

• Evaluate and approve cost review requests, including operating impact analysis

• Supervise CAPEX requests, track spend and capitalize asset as required

• Assist in preparing and monitoring of operating forecasts based on budgets

• Support the establishment of labor and overhead rates in line with operating budgets

• Perform annual cost roll and inventory revaluation

• Assist other employees with information and/or analysis when requested Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required.

• Knowledge of DCAA regulations and guidelines.

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems.

• Proven experience with ERP Solutions.

• Ability to manage all Accounting Functions efficiently.

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Proficiency in Auditing practices and principles.

• Knowledge of and experience in Budget Processes.
