As a Crane Operator at Ryerson, you are responsible for setting up and operating an overhead crane. Roles and Responsibilities Operating an overhead crane and or/forklift to move skids of material or plate Production of quality parts to customer specifications Staging of material for daily production runs Truck unloading and loading Proper completion of shipping/receiving paperwork Work order confirmation on computer (SAP) Working in a safe manner as outlined during training and use prescribed safety equipment including PPE All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice Requirements Successfully pass a skills-based assessment - evaluates your reading, math, inspections & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills Some experience on a Forklift and/or Overhead Crane Experience working in a metals warehouse setting preferred SAP Experience is a plus Must be able to accurately use measuring tools, specifically a tape measure, micrometer, and caliper.
