Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks, including opening bundles of materials, sorting stock, measuring and confirming size and thickness, and preparing materials for shearing. Additionally, you will operate and set up the Press Brake, Turret, and Laser machines. Effective communication and coordination with team members are vital to ensuring the production of high-quality finished products that meet or exceed EMI drawings and specifications. Maintaining a clean and organized work area, as well as adhering to safety procedures and regulations, is essential.
Responsibilities:
Open bundles of materials using cutters and sort stock
Measure and confirm size and thickness of materials
Place materials on the shear infeed table for shearing
Operate and set up Press Brake, Turret, and Laser machines
Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality finished products
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Perform basic mathematical calculations and measurements
Comply with safety procedures and regulations
Engage in physical activities such as pulling, reaching, bending, climbing, balancing, and kneeling
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Machine Operator is preferred
Familiarity with Press Brake, Turret, and Laser machines is a plus
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Proficiency in measuring dimensions and comparing them to drawing specifications
Basic mathematical skills and ability to pass a mathematics test
Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Adherence to safety protocols and regulations
Physical ability to perform various physical activities as described
