Daikin Applied Vice President - Digital and Information Technology in Plymouth, Minnesota

Vice President - Digital and Information Technology, Daikin Applied Americas (DAA) POSITION SUMMARY: The Vice President, Digital and Information Technology provides technology leadership to drive organization, leadership, talent and culture transformation within the current IT function at DAA. Reporting to the SVP, Digital and Information Technology at DAA, and working in close collaboration with other key executives and senior leaders, this leader will contribute to creating a new digital and information technology vision and strategies focused on driving customer, market, and business outcomes. This leader will then build the structure, team, and processes needed to deliver on the key strategies and create year over year progress in achieving the technology vision. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assess current organization, develop a plan for transforming current team structure, processes and culture, and drive execution of transformational change. Create future IT architecture roadmap and determine execution strategy and recommendations. Launch internal IT Summits to conceptualize the vision, educate, and inspire change from within focused on retaining and inspiring key talent within the organization and fostering collaboration, networking and communication. Lead monthly staff and scorecard meetings with focus on effective collaboration, support and accountability. Build digital and analytics capability within the department with focus on driving and enabling this capability throughout DAA. Conduct an internal assessment of IT Infrastructure ability to deliver timely support to the DAA workforce, key customers and stakeholders with minimal downtime. Determine strategy to monitor and improve support. Conduct an internal assessment of current applications within DAA both supported by and not supported by IT and determine applications support strategy and practices. Collaborate with SVP, Digital and Information and SVP, Finance regarding IT budget and headcount. Monitor budget. Develop business justification for Capex projects. Build leadership capability and succession planning. Lead robust talent development throughout the IT function. Develop roles and responsibilities in alignment with Digital and IT vision, strategies and organization structure. Oversee Digital and IT standards, policies and processes and align to DIL, ASBD and Daikin US as Report on Digital and IT priority status and plans including but not limited to capturing lessons learned, developing improved policies, guides, procedures and reports, and preparing and giving presentations. Collaborates with the SVP, Digital and IT to develop and lead a multi-year overall digital transformation focused on customer and employee experience as well as business outcomes. Structure and Process Optimization: Systematically analyzes department to create optimal organization structure aligned to business needs and implement changes to reduce inefficiencies, improve productivity, optimize processes and positively impact department and organization outcomes. Champions critical analysis of the disciplines, techniques and thinking at every point in the process with an eye towards improvement and streamlining. Builder of Organizational Capability: Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire and motivate a high-performing information technology team that values transparency and accountability. Creates and develops a leadership team capable that delivers progressive, forward thinking technology solutions and delivers on commitments.
