FAIVELEY TRANSPORT CZECH a.s., is the part of the Wabtec Corporation, which after merging with the French company Faiveley Transport in 2016 and the American company GE Transportation in 2019 became the largest manufacturer of components for the railway and transit industry. We are proud to deliver products for major transportation projects worldwide as pantographs, electro -mechanical switches, couplers, brakes, trolleybus collectors.

How will you make a difference?

  • Build, manage and record the project contract portfolio for the product line Power Collection

  • Review and redline of contract terms and conditions, confidentiality agreements in accordance with Mandate letter

  • Contribution to defend the company position in finding the best arguments in project execution and contract documentation.

  • Support BID Team at Tender phase by reviewing tender documents, proposing wording adjustments, and participating in contract terms negotiations with clients and partners if requested

  • PCM will support PM by ensuring that the fulfilment of the obligations toward, and from the customer/partners/subcontractors are known and performed

  • Prepare Contract Summary and ensure it is widely communicated and regularly updated

  • Carefully analyse the contract to build and drive implementation of a Contract/Claim Management Strategy Plan

  • Work closely with the members of the project core team to identify and mitigate risks as well as to identify, maximize and leverage claim opportunities.

  • Manage claims from Customer in full support to Project Manager

  • Monitor customer/partner requests for variations/change orders/extensions of time, including updates to the variation order/variation request/delay registers as well as the preparation of commercial offer and associated contractual letters

  • Ensure timely issuance of contractual notices to customers/partners

  • Establish and implement project specific commercial procedures, particularly regarding correspondences, notifications, insurance, variation requests/orders and claim preparation files

  • Build Rex and Lesson learn on existing Contract execution to support tender team on new projects.

  • Report key Contractual issues and Claims status to the Head of Transit Contract & Claim Management.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or a combination of these

  • Additional basic legal knowledge (contract law, commercial law) is well regarded

  • Typically, minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in relevant role (Contract Management, Project Management, Bids, Project Engineering)

  • Proven track record in a complex business environment, ideally in similar business areas (e.g., railways, construction, machinery and plant engineering, oil & gas, energy)

  • Goal-orientation and drive for results

  • Ability to present contractual issues (incl. technical background and commercial impact) in an understandable format, using basic tools such as Power Point, Excel and Word

  • Ability to convince others and strong negotiation skills

  • Fluent English language skills are mandatory for this role; additional languages are a plus

  • Ready to travel during a short period of time (1 or 2 days) for contract meeting on Customer/Suppliers sites (mainly in Europe)
