ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (illustrative only and may vary by assignment)\ Scorekeeper (P01): Acts as the Softball and/or Basketball scorekeeper. Keeps time for games via use of a\ scoreboard controller. Records team rosters into the scorebook and keeps a clean and accurate account of\ the game. Documents any accidents or incidents that may occur during the game. Cleans up any trash in\ the scorekeeper/timer area before leaving the gym/field. Records daily scores and reports game scores the\ Team Sports Office in a timely manner. Keeps time for timeouts and communicates with game officials\ when the time has expired. Keeps an accurate record of the amount of time each player plays during the\ game, as prescribed in the rules. Works with Gymnasium Monitor to provide all participants and spectators\ a friendly, positive game experience.\ Recreation Leader (P02): Serves as adult Soccer Program Linesman. Assists assigned Center Referee with\ all officiating needs of the assigned soccer match, including but not limited to offside calls, goal verification,\ retrieving errant soccer balls in a timely manner, and all other officiating related needs as dictated by each\ match. Serves as City representative at each scheduled Soccer match, responsible for opening and closing\ of game day activities by setting up the field, running lines during the match, taking the field down, and\ reporting game scores to the Team Sports Office at the conclusion of each days matches.\ Gymnasium Monitor (P02): Responsible for the care, oversight and safety of assigned gymnasium facility.\ Duties include providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive and participant friendly\ environment, communicate program information, and engage in active listening with customers in order to\ build relationships. Assists scorekeepers by locating next game coaches, and directing coaches to fill out\ their scorebooks 15 minutes prior to the start of their games. Monitors unsupervised children and assists\ them in locating designated seating with their parents. Provides oversight of assigned City & School District\ building areas including hallway inspections and walk-throughs, bathroom inspections, and\ sweeping/mopping of gym floors as needed. Communicates issues, concerns and accidents as they occur\ immediately to Team Sports Program Manager.\ Classification Title: Team Sports Worker (seasonal/variable) Page 2\ Assistant Sports Programmer (P05): Provides high-level youth and adult sport league and activity\ assistance to supervisory staff in the coordination, implementation, and management of league and\ program activities. Assists Team Sports Staff in activity registration, team formation, game schedules,\ coach recruitment and game/practice facility oversight. Registration duties include taking money, financial\ record keeping, daily deposit responsibilities, etc. Assists the Team Sports Staff by conducting assigned\ sports activities, games and events, as directed. Conducts tournaments, matches, and special events for\ registered participants. Answers incoming call and e-mail inquiries in a helpful, positive, and friendly\ manner. Incumbent must have a vast working knowledge of all Team Sports programs, including rules and\ regulations. Employee has the authority to make decisions for Pocatello Team Sports Programs in the\ absence of the full-time Team Sports Staff.\ Nothing in this job description restricts management\'s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities\ to this position at any time.\ ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

High School diploma or GED may be required;

Basic First Aid certification may be required;

Bachelors Degree or extensive experience managing Nordic ski or other experiential edu ation\ facilities may be required.\ An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and\ abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the position may be considered.\ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\ While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop,\ kneel, bend, climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces. The job requires hand/finger dexterity to\ handle materials, manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms. The job requires operation of job-related\ equipment and driving a vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with\ assistance. Sufficient visual acuity and hearing capacity to perform the essential functions and interact with\ the public is required.
