Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Job Description
Seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair various systems on heavy equipment, including mechanical and computer electronic controls, transmissions, and pneumatic systems. The role involves troubleshooting malfunctions, performing extensive repairs from drive systems to hydraulic and air systems, and maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness in the work environment. The candidate will also potentially train lower-level workers in mechanical repair techniques and perform related tasks as assigned.
Hard Skills
Mechanic experience with Heavy Machinery (e.g., Excavators, Loaders, Bulldozers)
Proficiency in Mechanical, Diesel, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems
Ability to overhaul engines, replace engines and rebuild components
Soft Skills
Ability to work independently
Strong troubleshooting skills
Effective training and mentorship capabilities

This is a permanent position.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Port Arthur, Texas.
Work Environment
Initial training period in-shop followed by field assignments. Work environment is not temperature controlled and requires readiness to handle various on-site conditions independently.
