Indorama Ventures Planning and Scheduling Team Leader in Port Neches, Texas

Job Description :

Indorama Integrated Oxides & Derivatives is looking for a Planning and Scheduling Team Leader to join our team in Port Neches, Texas. In this role, you will play a key role in the organization by ensuring routine maintenance work, small outages and projects not managed by the T&I group is performed efficiently, effectively, at the lowest optimal cost and with minimal downtime by leading and driving best practices in Maintenance Planning and Scheduling. This role also functions as the SAP Plant Maintenance Work Management Process Subject Matter Expert. This role supervises Indorama Lead Planners and provides functional leadership to contract Planners and Schedulers. The position reports to the Site Senior Manager of Maintenance, Reliability and Inspection.

What will be expected from you?

  • Manage Indorama Lead Planners, and Contract Planners and Schedulers, to provide high quality work plans and schedules that maximize the efficiency and effectiveness (i.e. Tool Time) of routine maintenance work, small outages and projects not managed by the T&I group.

  • Track and publish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to Planning & Scheduling (P&S) and use the KPIs to drive performance improvements within the Maintenance P&S department.

  • Champion an improvement team that drives enhancements to S4HANA master data, Prometheus and other information repositories, to improve efficiency in Maintenance P&S.

  • Participate in the Materials Management Team to support improvements in stagging equipment and kitting material for all planned work.

  • Attend and participate in daily meetings associated with the Maintenance Work Management Process.

  • Improve the skills and capability of the P&S Team, and manage any skills deficiencies.

  • Drive the on-boarding process for new hire P&S’s to ensure they are setup with computers, and access to S4HANA, all relevant IT systems and information repositories.

  • Ensure all preventive maintenance work is Planned and Scheduled within required intervals.

  • Ensure detailed bills-of-materials (BOM’s) and task lists for repeat jobs are developed and maintained.

  • Work with scheduler to develop and progress daily and look-ahead schedules.

  • Ensure P&S procedures are maintained up-to-date.

  • Utilize a Ranking Index for Maintenance Expenditure (RIME) to prioritize scheduling maintenance and allocation of Maintenance resources.

  • Track and communicate resource requirements for efficient work execution and planning.

  • Assist with unscheduled priority events that go beyond one day to minimize impact on plant availability.

  • Manage the Planning and Scheduling service vendor relationships to ensure quality in service including developing and monitoring metrics.

  • Ensure that the activities are carried out to comply with the integrated management system, as applicable (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality and responsible care requirements).

  • Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.

  • Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.

  • Assists other employees in accomplishments of Indorama company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

  • Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company required training programs.

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years related experience in planning and scheduling maintenance and construction resources.

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required, Associate Degree in Technical/Engineering (Construction Management, Industrial Technology) field preferred.

  • Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite programs & SAP-PM.

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently with good written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work with all levels of Supervision, technical and wage roll employees within the organization.

  • Ability to effectively lead an improvement team and present information to all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Strong initiative, sound judgment, and ability for independent decision-making and priority setting with minimum of guidance required.

  • Flexibility in work assignment and schedule.
