Job Title: Communications & Community Lead and PA to Works Directors (Secondment)
Location: Port Sunlight Factories (site based)
Duration: up to 12m depending on business need
JOB PURPOSE
This role is responsible for providing PA support to the Works Directors and the Management Teams of Port Sunlight Factories and owns Employee and Community Engagement programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety & Quality
Ensure Company safety policy, rules and procedures are understood and followed (incl. risk assessments for external events where appropriate)
Identify and report health or safety hazards and dangerous situations in their work area and put appropriate control measures in place
Fire Warden for office
Maintain stock of PPE for visitors in factory
Maintain Crisis Management Meeting room
Mental Health First Aider
Employee and Community Engagement
Lead community and employee engagement program
Lead Sports and social Committee
Own Reward and Recognition system for site
Own communication system for site: newsletter, ELTs, QBRs, team meetings, digital communication (signage and Yammer)
Update Digital signage regularly
Manages and coordinates all visit requests and logistics
Arranges site external events (team days)
Arrange Retirement Dinners - book venue, send out invitations, arrange transport, flowers, photographer and process invoice etc.
Arrange long service dinners
Liase with UK comms and lead proactive and reactive communication in any incident
Connect with PSL and UK comms leads to ensure consistent messaging
Manage R&R, events and charity budget. Raise Purchase Orders, goods receipt and deal with invoices for events and R&R.
PA to Works Directors
Arrange meetings/workshops/team days and book venues and hospitality as required
Travel - arrange flights, rail, hire cars, chauffeur cars and accommodation
Visitors - arrange accommodation and any car bookings, meet and greet as required. Maintain signing-in book
Order stationery for factory/office
Manage diaries for both Works directors
Manage expenses for both works directors.

Recruitment Fraud
Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.
How is Unilever tackling this?
Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
