AmergisStaffing is seeking Licensed Vocational Nurses to care forindividuals with mental or emotional conditions or disabilities following theinstructions of physicians or other health practitioners. They monitor apatient's physical and emotional well-being and report to medical staff.

$34/hour
Full time or part time
6 on 2 off mandatory schedule rotation for full time
8 week contract, possible extension
Weekly pay!
Responsibilities:
Work with individuals with mental health disabilities that are awaiting their due process through the court system.
Work with a team of LPTs & RNs to observe and care for patients
Respond to multiple units in crisis with RN team
Care for up to 25 clients in a unit
Ideal candidate should be comfortable in psych setting
Candidate will be able to commit to working most major holiday
Candidate will be able to commit to working 2-3 weekends a month
Provides personal care and behavioral assistance/interventions to assigned clients
Assists clients with grooming, eating/meal preparation, and toileting
Assists with ambulation and transfer services
Monitor vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure
Provides behavioral support services
Provides crisis intervention
Encourages independence
Maintains patient safety
Implements behavioral plans
Documents care per policies and procedures
Participate in rehabilitation and treatment programs, help with personal hygiene, and administer oral or injectable medications
Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
MinimumRequirements:
MUST have an Active California LVN license
Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office required
Must be at least 18 years of age
