Description
Robert Half Management Resources is seeking an interim Controller for an expanding company in the Portland area. This is projected to be a 4-5-month project. In this role, the Controller plays a key role in assisting with the company’s financial decisions, provide excellent accounting expertise, and create strategic plans based on the company’s financial performance. The Controller will provide thorough financial-status reports for senior management to help improve operation and aid in the company’s continued growth. Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of accounting
Special reports and analyses as needed
Oversee compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding finances and taxes
Provide regular reporting on status of corporate finances
Budget forecasting and planning
Implementation of internal control policies and procedures
Oversee all operations of the accounting department
Ensure that accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll are processed and paid in a timely manner
Maintain an organized accounting system and a system of controls
Produce timely and complete financial statements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or finance
CPA preferred
Advanced Degree – MBA, Masters of Accounting, etc. a plus
5+ years of relevant experience
Strong proficiency with Excel and industry standard accounting software, including Crystal Reports and Hyperion
High attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing tasks
