What’s the role about?

We're looking for an IT Business Analyst - Engineering who will be responsible for the day-to-day site, local, regional, and global support and troubleshooting in PDM/CAD systems. Moreover, the IT Business Analyst will work with local and global teams and stakeholders to improve existing data and processes and to define new flows and processes. Will translate business requirements to IT solutions - implementation in systems and conduct Extract-Transform-Load scenarios during systems migration or data standardization activities.

What will you do?

  • Site, local, regional, and global end-user support, troubleshooting, training, and documentation;

  • Become an expert user of GKN systems and processes (examples include Windchill PDMlink, Windchill MPMLink, and custom Workflows/Subsystems: Engineering Change Management, DFMEA, and PPAP management in Windchill, B4 Bookshelf, design & Mfg. stage drawings, BOMs, Prototype Management System/Planning, etc.);

  • Work in global teams sharing information and knowledge, contributing to workshops and core team meetings;

  • Work within the GKN IT systems and process framework (Helpdesk, ITCC, security considerations, IT project management);

  • Maintain license records and 100% compliance with Software licensing terms, as well as support the budgeting process regarding maintenance / new purchase costs and justification.

  • Report and monitor data quality and consistency concerns (within Windchill as well on interfaces to other systems);

  • Prepare data for loading into global systems;

  • Work with stakeholders and end users to define, implement, and roll out new data objects and processes;

  • Receive communication from customers regarding desired CAD/PLM specification and environment setup and release configured environment to product design teams.

  • Monitor CAD license usage and propose optimizations.

What are we looking for?

You should Demonstrate interest and understanding of the PLM/CAD field, ground knowledge of XML, and basic knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (Qlik, PowerBI, etc.)

Education

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with an IT qualification combined with experience in Engineering or

  • A manufacturing environment may be acceptable as an alternative.

Must have:

  • Min 1 year of experience in IT/systems support in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

  • Basic knowledge and former experience in Product Design Data Management, Bill of Materials, and Revisioning.

  • Literacy in one of the CAD systems: Creo Parametric, CATIA, NX, or AutoCAD.

  • Understanding and experience in writing simple macros and scripts.

  • Language skills: Portuguese and English – working proficiency (both spoken and written).

Preferred:

  • Any Certifications in the software used within Driveline

  • Basic LINUX understanding. Basic SQL understanding.

  • Experience working in geographically remote teams.

  • Good understanding of ERP systems.

  • Proficient in MS Excel.

Travel Requirements: 5% travel as necessary
