These include waste-to-energy facilities, transfer stations, ash monofills, landfills, and fleets of rail cars and collection vehicles. We process more than 11 million tons of waste annually, converting 6.7 million tons of waste into clean, renewable energy that powers 340,000 homes. We recycle more than 234,000 tons of plastic, paper and metals from the waste stream.

We currently have an opening for an Inside Sales Representative at our corporate office in Portsmouth, NH.

This position under sales and marketing directives, and with minimal supervision, researches and analyzes the market territory. The Inside Sales Representative develops strategies, which cultivate sales leads and persuades potential and/or existing customers to purchase and/or increase their level of WTI services to achieve targeted revenue goals. This position requires expert management of a highly qualified set of prospects with Salesforce.com as the primary prospect management tool.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring that prospects and new customers are delighted with WTI's service.

  • Executes sales campaigns via telephone marketing or direct mail to meet assigned sales and pricing goals

  • Attract, generate, manage, and record leads from outbound telephone marketing & direct mail campaigns and various internal and external sources.

  • Develop and execute a plan to establish highly qualified sales call appointments for Major Account Manager(s) and Business Development Manager(s) at targeted accounts.

  • Become proficient with WTI sales tools (i.e. Salesforce.com, Proposal Tools, TRUX, Pricing Tools, etc.).

  • Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales activity goals.

  • Acquire a working knowledge of appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.

This is an office position. Placement into this position is dependent upon individual performance, local market conditions and/or Business Unit requirements. This position is eligible to participate in sales bonus and recognition programs upon successful completion of sales orientation and/or training programs.

Experience:

  • This position requires at least two (2) years of outbound telephone sales experience in this or other industry or equivalent job experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
