JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT

Under general direction, this position is responsible for working with academic departments to develop each semesters course offerings and maintains and assigns rooms/spaces for academic purposes. Assists with updating the course catalog annually and processes various requests from students, faculty and staff as related to the Registrars office, along with updating and maintaining accurate student records. Works as part of the Registrar team to complete common office tasks.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

 

FUNCTIONS

  1. Update university semester course offering and room assignments.
  2. Process approved EPCC curricular changes by assisting with updating the student information system and course catalog using the Acalog software.
  3. Process graduation petitions and maintain accurate student records by updating registration, grades, selective program change of majors, and other requests as needed.
  4. Work with Registrar team to cover common tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Update university semester course offering and room assignments.
    • Work with academic departments to develop and update the course offering for each semester.
    • Assign classrooms as needed and maintain in the student information system.
  2. Process approved EPCC curricular changes by assisting with updating the student information system and course catalog using the Acalog software.
    • Enter approved EPCC curricular changes in the student information system under coordination with the Registrar and/or Assistant Registrar.
    • Update the course catalog with approved EPCC curricular changes annually and review for accuracy.
  3. Process graduation petitions and maintain accurate student records by updating registration, grades, selective program change of majors, and other requests as needed.
    • Process graduation petitions as they are submitted within the student information system and communicate with students regarding the status of their petition
    • Process institutional requirement alterations on student graduation reports
    • Process grade entries, changes, selective program change of majors, and other requests as needed.
    • Maintain the integrity of student data.
    • Process registration for College Credit Plus, study abroad, course credit by arrangement and graduate workshop credits.
  4. Work with Registrar team to cover common tasks.

    • Perform clerical tasks as needed, such as answering the phone, photocopying, etc. Communication with students via letter, email, and phone.

Demonstrate expertise with automated computer systems and relational databases (i.e., Jenzabar, PeopleSoft, Banner, Lawson, etc.)

 

Ability to produce spreadsheets, reports and/or documents using current software applications (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.)

 

Knowledge regarding academic programs and courses
