Delivery Driver
Join our family-owned wholesale distribution company as a Delivery Driver, where you will play a key role in ensuring efficient operations, customer satisfaction, and overall company success. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and safe handling, transportation, and delivery of materials while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare trucks for operation by assisting with loading, securing items, and verifying shipping documents for accuracy.
- Perform pre-trip inspections on tires, lights, brakes, and fluids to ensure safe and efficient performance.
- Deliver orders promptly and accurately, following the most effective routes to meet customer expectations and company timelines.
- Maintain communication with the company during deliveries to receive updates and instructions as needed.
- Document deliveries, ensuring accuracy and receipt confirmation, and report any discrepancies.
- Monitor and maintain truck maintenance records, adhering to safety, security, and quality processes.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently as required.
- Maintain a clean driving record and uphold all traffic and safety regulations.
- Pull, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or pickup with attention to accuracy and special instructions.
- Receive incoming shipments and report any inventory or quality discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, sales staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
- Keep the facility clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
- Present a professional image and adhere to company policies and safety guidelines in a drug-free workplace.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a delivery or warehouse role preferred.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, or willingness to be trained.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
