Responsibilities

Supports subject matter experts within Revenue Cycle Services, Physician Care, and other departments to leverage software application(s) to gather and utilize business data and analytics. Performs data extraction, reporting and analysis. Identifies opportunities to optimize the application(s) and resolve system issues. Performs system testing, query writing, table and system maintenance, training, and troubleshooting. Standardizes workflows, creates process documentation, and provides training to support consistent, efficient, and effective operations.

Interacts with staff and management of Patient Financial Services, Physician Care and Patient Access as well as other departments who are impacted by the output of work in each of these departments. Works closely with all stake holders, Revenue Cycle Management team and Information Systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Acts as a liaison among stakeholders to identify opportunities and support efforts to develop and maintain all assigned applications to better meet the business needs of the end user.

  2. Maintains a working knowledge of all assigned application structures and operating practices. Understands each application’s purpose and how it

supports the end user’s needs.

  1. Performs the daily maintenance operations necessary for the effective and efficient use of the application

  2. Initiates all additions and modifications to the application’s table structure after completion of appropriate testing and receipt of necessary approval.

  3. Investigates business system issues, identifies opportunities for improvement, in conjunction with Information Systems develops, and implements a plan to resolve or address.

  4. Performs integration and acceptance testing, supports the development of training and implementation materials, accepts, and addresses customer

feedback about the provided service utilizing quality measures.

  1. Performs data analysis and reporting by extracting data, preparing reports, graphics and analysis as needed to ensure operating processes are conducted and completed in an accurate and efficient manner. Works with PFS management on process improvement efforts which are based on data results that are affecting financial outcomes, including the need for staff retraining and/or process flow modifications.

  2. Identifies, troubleshoots and oversees the resolution of application functionality issues.

  3. Responsible for leading projects related to the management and coordination of complete and accurate system data collection, claims analysis, and issue resolution.

  4. Identifies opportunities for process improvement changes and makes recommendations to Director of Patient Financial Services and Director of Revenue Cycle Services

Qualifications

  1. Associate degree in business, Information Technology or related field and five years in Patient Accounting, Patient Access or Patient Scheduling with a broad healthcare knowledge and terminology in all areas or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  2. Three years of education and/or experience in a leadership role required, with an emphasis on data analysis and conformance of operating practices

preferred.

  1. Experience in training and development activities.

  2. Project management experience, including facilitating and coordinating the activities of multiple workgroups, teams or organizational units. Demonstrated ability to listen to divergent views and build consensus and support for a shared goal.

  3. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service.

  4. Excellent multi-tasking, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  5. Must be able to adapt to change of duties quickly and smoothly. Ability to workwell under pressure.

Pay Range

$26.51 - $38.44 /hour
