Overview

The Microcircuit Emulation Center at SRI International (formerly Sarnoff Corporation) is looking for a Principal Integration Engineer to support the manufacturing of microcircuits (integrated circuits) part-time. Through SRI's Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) and Advanced Microcircuit Emulation (AME) programs, the Microcircuit Emulation Center supplies form, fit, function, and interface replacements for obsolete microcircuits. This capability supports production, redesign, and sustainment requirements for the life of a weapon system. SRI's Microcircuit Emulation Center is a government-supported, U.S.-based Trusted foundry. This role is based in our Princeton, NJ office.

Responsibilities
    Active technology lead supporting microcircuit technology development and resolving. production issues including simulation, reverse engineering, design, wafer fabrication and electrical testing.
  • Supports development, implementation, and maintenance of wafer level and packaged part parametric data.
  • Leads efforts to create experimental plans and execution using industry best practices.
  • Works collaboratively with staff across all disciplines to organize, correlate, and present data.
  • Expert level participation and lead for working in cross functional teams (Integration, Design and Layout) to address process issues.
  • Support group technology training efforts as assigned in areas including microcircuit design and fabrication.
Qualifications
  • PhD in electronic engineering, physics, or an equivalent field and 10 years' experience in semiconductor technology development required.
  • Due to Government requirements candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Knowledge and experience of CMOS, BiCMOS, and Bipolar process technologies is required.
  • Demonstrated analytical and systematic teamwork approach to troubleshooting.

Desired:

  • Process integration experience at 0.5- and 0.35-micron CMOS technologies are preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

The salary range is: $25.91-33.16/hr. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
