I: Essential Job Functions: • Responsible for automotive cloud infrastructure maintenance, building new operational monitoring, alerting capabilities, implementing, and maintaining, cloud developed engineering solutions.• Develop and implement the software configuration management (SCM) system which supports the enterprise software development life cycle (SDLC)• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise• Implementing best practices to improve the DevOps processes and achieve more reliability and scalability in delivering software across multiple teams in the platform.• Assist junior members of the staff by providing direction on customer requests and performing code review to ensure quality outcomes.• Actively participate in work effort estimation, assisting peers with technical challenges within the infrastructure and meet with internal stakeholders to discuss requirements.• Manage source code within the Version Control System like GIT (i.e., branching, merging, and tagging), compile, assemble and package software from source code.• Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel as a team lead.• Participate in defining and providing guidance on standards/best practices to improve DevOps processes and achieve reliability and scalability.• Automation of Infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Python, Docker Container, Service Orchestration.• Created and managed fully automated build definitions and release definitions using CI/CD for cloud deployments for all web applications and configure them across multiple environments using AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins services.• Researches and resolves technical problems associated with the version control and continuous integration systems.• Work independently to understand the assigned work, deliver on agreed upon dates and raise issues/risks in a timely manner in case of risk to deliverables and documents the process at every step.• Work with developers, testers, and IT operational staff to administer source code management toolsets, automate builds and deployments, configure continuous integration environments, and contribute to all facets of the software build and release cycles.• Responsible for creative/development/independent judgments.II: Education and Experience Required:• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related technical field plus 5 years of experience with automation, and development of DevOps solutions or processes, of which includes at least 2 years of experience with AWS Cloud infrastructure maintenance, Terraform, Docker, Lambda Functions, and KubernetesIII: Special Skills Required:• Skilled in at least one scripting language: Ant, Bash, Groovy, PowerShell, or Python;• Experience with DevOps/Container technology (Docker, Kubernetes, or PCF).• Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes• Experience with continuous integration environment utilities, such as Jenkins and AWS Codebuild.• Experience with: - VPC - EC2 - S3 - RDS - Elastic Load Balancers - CI/CD - Jenkins - Python - GIT
